Tonight was Team 82's first appearance at Mosport in our Newly Built Open Wheel Modified. The "MOD" is owned by Tim and Gary, and both have worked hard to bring this Dream about. Of course nothing could have happened without our Pit Crew members and friends.Great Work comes out of the "Busted Knuckle Garage" again. Thanks Guys and gals,,,"Smashing Good Job".
Ron Vowels unending service tonight was the first thing I noticed when things got a little Crazy. Then watching our daughter Ellisha and her Beau Darryl meticulously record all the tire info and the times per lap was simply icing on the cake.I tried hard to get pictures and even got the video camera out to see how it looked. Not bad ,,we can work with it.
We grabbed a full set of tires, which knocked our wallets off balance but we have em,,so he can use em.
We are still in Awe that Gary was able to build two fully race ready cars this winter. not only did her have to build the "MOD" but Ellisha crashed her 36 Mustang at the 2006 Autumn Colours Classics so she needed another car. You can watch Ellisha through out this year on the pages of this site.Watch for Kawartha Spdwy pages,,it starts June 1st.2007
Gary drove very well and played it safe for his first Heat and gave the crowd a tease with a test of the cars power in the corner. He started outside pole for his 2nd Heat and followed in behind the top 3 cars ,getting a fourth place finish. His feature ended quickly after the cars infront of him spun and slingshotted back onto the track into Gary's on coming path. Gary's quick reaction prevented a hard hit to the #65's Drivers Door. The hit was still hard and it did damage the car. With no steering and a broke motor mount the 82 Car was towed into our pit spot.It took another hour of the guys working just to get it onto the trailer. Gary is OK and so is the driver of # 65. Back to the "BKG" for some choppin and welding. Gary had a Great time and says "it handled just like his Ministock", as he claps his hands together and gives a little chuckle.

This crash happened out of corner two -going into straight stretch. I could tell the story but it's only point of view- I just hope no one gets Hurt.
He had no where to go!!-That's the story from the crowd. Damages----broken Motor mounts, and tranny seals/bolts--bit of rail and body damage.   "Awesome Stuff" and thats Racing!!
